THE LAY OF THE LAND….or Blog

Every ounce of me wants to talk about my old website and how I used to write and post a lot, damnit I already did! It’s better to let all the stuff, that I never stuck with, be a part of the past and fade into memory instead of trying to resuscitate something I just wasn’t fond of and didn’t care enough to maintain. The feeling now is I’m here to support my business and lifestyle with extra content and con…text to support the things you see me post to Youtube. There’s a lot I do behind the scenes and turning it all into video would leave me destitute on the highway of ZERO time. I keep finding out the hard way that time is the most precious and expensive resource in the world, or at least my world. Trying to balance creating a brand and a living that I’m proud of, and on the side I care most about, being a good husband and father.

Every older gentleman browsing over this post is probably thinking “Good luck!”, and I get it. Work life balance is a son of a bitch to fight with, but you only lose if you start fighting in the first place. There shouldn’t be too much conflict with yourself if you are simply doing the things you enjoy. When there are rules created around such things the fighting begins. Leaving too many parameters and pigeon holing myself into not saying certain stuff or bending my own ideals to support generalized thought was probably one of the dumbest things I could do. So yea, this is the new site, the new place to post and maybe a new outlet for my creativity. The current state of the world has people flinging their thumb over their screens at the same rate an M60 could clean up a tree line, me included sometimes. So this is one way that I’ve opted to stay away from that side of the world whenever I can. Not to shoot myself in the foot (again) but the rule I have made is stop consuming, start creating.

So after a bit of barfing out my thoughts on the floor here’s what I really wanna hit home on this page with. I enjoy a lot of fun shit in my life, art and photography, cars (of course) and just stuff that a 30 something Y2K kid wanted to see and do when he grew up. So to go along with what you see on the moving part of the interweb here is a space to see BTS, extra photos, answers to questions and maybe even the technical side of things.

As always, be kind, drive hard, I’ll see you on the road.
